Do you have a studio?

All sessions offered will be mostly outdoor photo sessions unless the weather prohibits doing so. I love natural light and the outdoors. Indoor newborn sessions are photographed in the client's home. If the location of the client's home is outside a 15mi radius of the photographer’s location (Lawrenceburg, IN) a $25 travel fee will be instituted. The client may upgrad their session to include more time for an additional charge.

How long does a photo session normally take?

From experience, depending on the number of people, a photo session typically lasts around an hour. Newborn sessions last approximately 2-3 hours.

What will my session include?

Photography Sessions Include: Creative talent, post image preparation, color accuracy, enhancing and a pre consultation meeting. Sessions are limited to 4 people (engagement sessions are limited to 2 people, birthday and senior sessions are limted to one). If there are more people than the allotted number included with your session there will be a $20 charge per person.

The session will be scheduled on location. If the location chosen by the client is outside a 15mi radius of the photographer’s location (Lawrenceburg, IN) a $25 travel fee will be instituted. The client may choose to upgrade their session to include more outfits, more locations, or more looks for an additional charge.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash and money orders are the only form of payment accepted. If you pay by money order no photos will be delivered until the money order clears. Personal checks can bounce, PayPal and credit card payments can be disputed (these have all happened in the past) so to avoid hassle we do not accept them. A non-refundable retainer of $50 is required to book your date (except wedding and birth sessions in which the retainer is higher). This retainer may be paid in cash or via PayPal and will be applied to the session fee. This fee is being paid to secure 1Boy 1Girl Imaging’s services for a particular date, and securing such services prevents 1Boy 1Girl Imaging from booking other clients for that date. Furthermore, economic loss will result if 1Boy 1Girl Imaging does not collect the fee and the client does not show up.

When should I schedule my maternity photo session?

For maternity photos, my recommendation is any time between 32 - 36 weeks.

When should I schedule my newborn photo session?

For newborns, it is best to have the photo session in the first 3-14 days of life. They change so fast and you want to capture that teeny tiny sweetness of a fresh little babe. They are also sleepier at this time and more likely to fold up in those positions we all love in newborn photos.

Do you offer mommy/newborn bundle packages?

Yes! A discounted newborn session will be offered to those clients who book their maternity and newborn session with me.

What makes a Fresh 48 session different from the hospital photos or a newborn session?

Hospital photography is not going to include you, siblings or family members. Hospital photograhy will be posed, lasting just a few minutes, and won’t capture your baby’s true self or the happiness and joy of loved ones.

Likewise newborn photography takes place 3- 14 days after birth but rarely within the first day or two. Your Fresh 48 session will happen right after birth when those emotions are still high and everything is brand new. There will be no props, studio lighting or baby posing! These are two unique experiences. Fresh 48 sessions offer a cheaper alternative to newborn sessions. However, they are not the same as a newborn session.

Will you accommodate special editing requests?

All editing and retouching is done at the artist’s discretion. Additional editing requests are accommodated at a rate of $80 per hour.

May I share/post my images on Facebook?

Yes, however, 1 Boy 1 Girl Imaging requests that if you choose to share any images on Facebook that you give credit to 1 Boy 1 Girl Imaging by including a byline or tagging 1Boy 1Girl Imaging. You may also share directly from my page via the share button. If you need help understanding how to do this, please ask. Any images shared through social media may NOT be altered in any way…including, but not limited to cropping, watermark removal or any editing done to alter the original artistic intent of the artist (1 Boy 1 Girl Imaging).

What do I need to know before booking a session?

Saturday is considered prime time and comes with a $50 premium. This premium is in addition to the retainer and does not apply to the remainder of the session fee. Payment is required at the time that you schedule your session. Please do not to be late to your photo sessions. Many times we have other clients either before or after your scheduled time. Try to arrive 10 minutes early if you can so that you can get comfortable and we can start on time. If you are late to your session, we will do the best we can in the time that you have remaining.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 2 business days’ notice in the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your session. The cut off time is 5pm on the second business day prior to the day of your shoot. Session retainer, required at the time of Booking, is non refundable upon cancellation of appointment. If you need to reschedule, you must do so at least 2 days before your scheduled session start time. If less than 2 days notice is given, you will lose your session deposit. If 2 days notice is given, there will be a $50 rescheduling fee upon first time rescheduling. After that, a $100 fee will be charged for each subsequent appointment change. If 1Boy 1Girl Imaging cancels your session and cannot reschedule within 90 days, your retainer will be returned in full. If a “force majeure” (act of God) causes the cancellation of your session (including but not limited to road closures , weather conditions, war, and natural disasters), 1Boy 1Girl Imaging may reschedule your session at a future date within 90 days or distribute a refund of the session retainer at her discretion.
